The Starving Games Gets Maiara Walsh
Maiara Walsh is set to star in Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer's parody of The Hunger Gamesentitled The Starving Games.
The parody not only makes fun of Suzanne Collins' hit book series, but takes shots at Marvel's The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. The actress will play the lead character Kantmiss Evershot with Pretty Little Liars actor Brant Daugherty portraying Liam Hemsworth's character Gale.
The directors are best known for their parodies including Date Movie, Meet the Spartans and Vampires Suck. The Safran Company's Peter Safran is producing.
Production begins this week in New Orleans.
